Photography Expert

About the role

Gramian Consultancy seeks a French‑speaking Photography Expert for a 16‑week freelance contract (40 h/week, fully remote). The role involves creating image‑based evaluation tasks for advanced AI systems by sourcing authentic photographs, verifying rights, producing masked or degraded versions, and writing English prompts with grading criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Source authentic real‑world images (places, products, media) and verify licensing, copyright status, and provenance.
• Conduct multi‑step visual research using Google Search, Google Lens, and reverse‑image search.
• Create cropped, masked, occluded, or degraded image versions that hide key identifiers while preserving realistic clues.
• Write clear, time‑bounded English prompts, objective grading criteria, and solution notes for each task.
• Organise files with structured naming conventions and manage submissions via shared Google Drive folders.

Required profile

• Native or highly fluent French with strong working proficiency in English.
• Deep local cultural knowledge of non‑touristy landmarks, universities, municipal buildings, and domestic media.
• Comfortable conducting iterative visual and web research from partial image clues.
• Ability to verify copyright‑free, public‑domain, Creative Commons, or otherwise licensed imagery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to write concise, objective evaluation criteria.

Required skills

• Basic image‑editing (cropping, masking, obscuring visual details).
• Proficiency with Google Drive for file management and collaborative workflows.
• Experience using Google Search, Google Lens, and reverse‑image search tools.
