AI Director – Client‑Facing (London)

About the role

The AI Director will lead the client‑facing AI practice for a digital consulting firm in London. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape how generative and agentic AI are embedded across the full client lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and ongoing value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the AI strategy for the consulting practice.
• Define a roadmap to embed AI across the end‑to‑end client journey.
• Partner with consulting leaders to redesign service delivery using AI.
• Identify high‑impact AI use cases and lead workshops with senior stakeholders.
• Engage directly with clients to co‑create and validate AI‑enabled solutions.
• Drive adoption of AI tools that improve consultant productivity and client responsiveness.
• Build AI capability and literacy across consulting teams through structured enablement.
• Ensure AI initiatives are governed, compliant, and aligned with firm standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience delivering AI or digital transformation in consulting or professional services.
• Strong understanding of generative AI, intelligent agents, and enterprise AI platforms.
• Track record of senior advisory, client‑facing roles and influencing partners and directors.
• Ability to move from strategy through execution and adoption.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and change‑leadership skills.
