AI Director – Client‑Facing Role in London

About the role

We are seeking an AI Director to lead the client‑facing AI practice of a fast‑growing digital consulting firm in London. The role will shape how AI is embedded across the full consulting lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and ongoing value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the AI strategy for the consulting practice.
• Define a roadmap to embed AI throughout the end‑to‑end client journey.
• Partner with consulting leaders to redesign service delivery using AI.
• Identify high‑impact AI use cases and lead workshops with senior stakeholders.
• Translate complex AI concepts into clear commercial and operational value.
• Engage directly with clients to shape, validate and refine AI solutions.
• Represent the firm in senior client discussions, forums and thought‑leadership events.
• Drive adoption of AI tools that improve consultant productivity and client responsiveness.
• Lead change‑management initiatives to ensure AI solutions are adopted in practice.
• Build AI capability and literacy across consulting teams through enablement and training.
• Ensure AI initiatives are governed, compliant and aligned with firm standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience delivering AI or digital transformation in consulting or professional services.
• Strong understanding of generative AI, intelligent agents and enterprise AI platforms.
• Track record of client‑facing senior advisory roles and influencing partners and directors.
• Experience moving from strategy through execution and adoption.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and change‑leadership skills.
