Senior Cyber Security Engineer – Fully Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join a leading UK retailer’s cyber security team. Working fully remote, you will help strengthen security across a hybrid infrastructure that spans on‑premise systems and Azure cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Improve security across a hybrid environment that includes Azure and on‑premise systems.
• Design and implement security controls for identity, endpoint and infrastructure platforms.
• Provide practical security guidance to infrastructure and technology projects.
• Strengthen Azure security capabilities, including identity, access management and cloud protection.
• Collaborate with the cyber leadership team to continuously raise the organisation’s security posture.

Required profile

• Strong experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, Infrastructure Security Engineer or a similar role.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure security, covering identity, networking and endpoint protection.
• Proven experience securing hybrid environments with exposure to Azure.
• Experience deploying or managing endpoint security or EDR solutions.
• Ability to clearly explain the reasoning behind security controls and architectural decisions.
