Technology Senior Analyst – IT Risks & Control

About the role

This newly created position sits within the technology function of a respected investment manager. It focuses on technology‑wide risk and control, covering infrastructure, cloud, software development and business applications. The role is not a cyber‑security or hands‑on engineering position but aims to improve the maturity of technology controls across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Support first‑line technology teams in improving risk and control practices.
• Mature and standardise control frameworks and processes.
• Reduce manual reporting and drive pragmatic automation.
• Enhance documentation, clarity and evidence around controls.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, software and applications teams.
• Engage with internal audit and risk stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• Experience in technology risk, IT risk, IT controls or GRC.
• Exposure to regulated environments or financial services (preferred but not essential).
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Comfortable working without formal authority.
• Practical mindset focused on improvement rather than perfection.
