Coffee Dry Mill Manager

About the role

The Dry Mill Manager will lead MCC’s coffee dry‑mill operations, ensuring that coffee is received, processed, stored, graded, packed and prepared for export in line with company procedures, customer specifications and international quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Verify quantity, quality, moisture level and documentation of all incoming coffee and assign it to the correct lot.
• Coordinate sampling, moisture testing, green grading and cupping with the Quality Manager.
• Plan and supervise all dry‑mill processes including pre‑cleaning, hulling/dehulling, grading, density separation, sorting, blending, weighing, bagging and export preparation.
• Develop daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on stock, orders and export deadlines.
• Track production performance by lot and analyse losses, downgrades or inefficiencies.
• Design and maintain warehouse layout, manage FIFO or lot‑specific stock, conduct regular physical counts and reconcile records.
• Oversee packaging material inventory and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Ensure proper operation and preventive maintenance of all mill equipment and coordinate repairs.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage coffee dry‑mill operations and production planning.
• Experience coordinating with quality teams for sampling and grading.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse organization and FIFO practices.
• Capability to monitor equipment performance and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

Required skills

• Operation of coffee dry‑mill equipment (huller/dehuller, pre‑cleaner, grading machines, density tables, sorters, conveyors, scales, compressors, generators).
• Moisture testing and green coffee grading.
• Cupping preparation and lot acceptance/rejection procedures.
• Preventive maintenance planning for industrial equipment.
