Service Engineer / Fitter – Newbury

About the role

Readypower Rail Services is seeking a motivated Service Engineer/Fitter to join its South West workshop. You will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading the company’s rail plant fleet, ensuring equipment remains fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance in line with equipment plans and service schedules.
• Perform repair work and planned inspections on plant and machinery.
• Execute modifications and upgrades to improve plant performance.
• Complete accurate maintenance records promptly.
• Support depot workshop maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Experience with rail plant, agricultural or civil plant equipment.
• Good understanding of English.
• Passionate, hardworking and driven attitude.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Desirable: PTS / Sentinel card, Level 2 Plant Repair and Maintenance qualification, LOLER‑certified training.
