Mission Support Supervisor (Madagascar)

About the role

The Mission Support Supervisor ensures that mission facilities in Madagascar are well maintained, safe, and aligned with the Church’s standards. Reporting to the Area Mission Support Manager, this role oversees property management, coordinates maintenance projects, and leads a small team of mission staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Mission Support Manager with facility and property matters, preventing deterioration and extending building life.
• Supervise the mission home attendant and mission driver, handling hiring, performance reviews, and employee issues in partnership with HR.
• Negotiate, renew, and close apartment leases; manage building maintenance projects and vendor contracts to meet cost, quality, and timeline goals.
• Conduct regular inspections of mission facilities to ensure compliance with standards and safety codes.
• Maintain inventory of Church‑owned furnishings and oversee disposal of excess or unserviceable items.
• Coordinate with the Mission President and mission leaders to anticipate and address mission needs.

Required profile

• Current, valid temple recommend or eligibility to obtain one.
• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
• At least two years of experience in facilities/property management, construction procedures, and safety/fire codes.
• Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary environment and communicating professionally with leaders, contractors, and vendors.
