Service Engineer / Fitter – Cwmbran

About the role

Join a growing rail plant hire company as a Service Engineer/Fitter, supporting the workshop with maintenance, inspections, modifications and upgrades of the fleet. This full‑time position is based in Cwmbran and offers a hands‑on environment for experienced fitters.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance in line with equipment maintenance plans and service schedules.
• Perform repair work and planned inspections to ensure plant and equipment are fit for purpose.
• Execute modifications and upgrades on plant and machinery.
• Complete maintenance records accurately and promptly.
• Assist with general depot workshop maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Experience working with rail plant, agricultural or civil plant equipment.
• Good understanding of English.
• Motivated, hardworking and driven.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Required skills

• Level 2 Plant Repair and Maintenance (or equivalent).
• LOLER certification.
• PTS / Sentinel card (desirable).
