Community Mobiliser Officer

About the role

Save the Children is seeking two Community Mobiliser Officers for a three‑month assignment in Ambovombe. Reporting to the Field Manager, you will act as the bridge between the organisation and local communities, helping to raise awareness of Save the Children’s programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise community leaders and members to understand and engage with Save the Children activities on the ground.
• Design and deliver training sessions for independent workers to develop their livelihoods.
• Promote Save the Children’s projects within local communities.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Save the Children and community stakeholders.
• Prepare high‑quality monthly reports on mobilisation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Communication or a related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in an international organisation or multinational company.
• Strong public‑speaking abilities and capacity to address diverse community audiences.
• Fluent in the local dialect and French.
• Ability to work under pressure and a valid driver’s licence.
