Telecom Operations Manager

About the role

The Telecom Operations Manager will lead daily telecom project and infrastructure operations for ONIX Engineering Group in Antananarivo. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that network performance, safety, and quality standards are consistently met while supporting the company’s mission to advance digital connectivity in Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise telecom, network, and drive‑test activities across multiple sites.
• Manage field teams, subcontractors, and vendor relationships to ensure timely execution.
• Monitor network performance, handle incidents, and resolve service disruptions in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Maintain project timelines and budgets, preparing regular operational reports for stakeholders.
• Support ISO 9001:2015 quality management practices and drive continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecom operations and project management, including field coordination and budget oversight.
• Strong understanding of telecom network infrastructure for FTTH/FTTS sites.
• Ability to work on‑site, make rapid operational decisions, and manage field constraints.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluency in French and/or English with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
