AI Director – Client‑Facing – London

About the role

The client‑facing AI Director will lead the design, delivery and scaling of AI‑enabled consulting services for a digital consulting firm in London. Working closely with senior partners and technology teams, you will embed generative and agentic AI across the full client lifecycle, from discovery to ongoing value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the AI strategy for the consulting practice.
• Define a roadmap for embedding AI across the end‑to‑end client journey.
• Partner with consulting leaders to redesign service delivery using AI.
• Identify high‑impact AI use cases and lead workshops with senior stakeholders.
• Engage directly with clients to shape, validate and refine AI use cases.
• Represent the firm in senior client discussions, forums and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Drive adoption of AI tools that enhance consultant productivity and client responsiveness.
• Lead change‑management to ensure AI solutions are adopted in practice.
• Build AI capability and literacy across consulting teams through enablement and training.
• Ensure AI initiatives are governed, compliant and aligned with firm standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience delivering AI or digital transformation in consulting or professional services.
• Strong understanding of generative AI, intelligent agents and enterprise AI platforms.
• Track record in client‑facing senior advisory roles.
• Ability to influence partners, directors and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience moving from strategy through to execution and adoption.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and change‑leadership skills.
