Finance Manager – Madagascar

About the role

Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) is seeking a Finance Manager for its Madagascar operations within DHL Global Forwarding. You will lead the finance function at a cluster level, shaping strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting business decisions across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to the finance team, fostering communication and collaboration.
• Implement controls and processes to ensure compliance with fiscal laws and internal DHL policies.
• Collaborate with the Cluster Finance Team on financial reporting, treasury policy, and supplier lifecycle management.
• Serve on the Procurement Committee and act as the Compliance Representative.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, treasury forecasting, and treasury management.
• Approve contracts, business cases, credit requests, vendor creation, invoices, payments, payroll, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and petty‑cash reconciliations.
• Coordinate tax compliance with GBS Tax and VAT teams.
• Review monthly reporting, sign off year‑end closing, and manage statutory, internal, and tax audits.
• Contribute to budget and forecast preparation and present financial reports to the Board and joint‑venture partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance leadership within a multinational logistics or shipping environment.
• Strong knowledge of fiscal regulations, tax compliance, and internal audit processes.
• Ability to work closely with senior finance stakeholders, including CFOs and controllers.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for reporting to boards and shareholders.
