Finance Officer

About the role

Onja is seeking a Finance Officer to support daily financial operations in its Toamasina office. You will ensure accurate processing of payments, manage accounts payable and receivable, and assist with payroll while contributing to the organization’s mission of empowering under‑privileged youth.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record all accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and execute monthly payroll in coordination with HR.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and archiving systems.
• Support tax payments and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Continuously learn and improve financial systems and practices.

Required profile

• Strong logical thinking and a passion for numbers.
• High attention to detail and integrity.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and basic digital tools.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Toamasina.
• Proficient in English and a good team player.
