Financial Auditor

About the role

NY HAVANA, a food and beverages company based in Les Trois Bassins, La Réunion, France, is hiring a Financial Auditor for a full-time, on-site position in Antananarivo. The role plans and carries out financial audits, reviews ledgers, journals and supporting documents, and helps improve financial reporting through stronger internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and review ledgers, journals and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and applicable standards.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify risks, discrepancies or inefficiencies in financial processes.
• Test transactions, prepare audit workpapers and document findings.
• Communicate recommendations to management for process improvements.
• Partner with finance and operations teams to support remediation efforts and strengthen controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CIA are an advantage.
• Experience conducting financial audits, including planning, fieldwork and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills for spotting trends, variances and root causes in financial data.
• Understanding of internal controls and risk management and compliance best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Antananarivo and adapt to a dynamic business environment.
• Experience in the food and beverage or consumer goods industry is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting and audit software, spreadsheets and standard office tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Integrity, attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
