Procurement Specialist – EPC Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing and supply‑chain activities for EPC renewable‑energy projects, including utility‑scale PV, BESS and hybrid systems. The role sits within the International Procurement team of the Axian Energy Cluster and supports the delivery of high‑performance projects across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor technology trends and raw‑material price benchmarks for PV modules, inverters, BESS, transformers and related equipment.
• Develop technical specifications, scopes of work and cost estimates in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Implement full supplier qualification processes, including NDAs, ESG questionnaires and audits of quality systems.
• Plan and manage international RFQs/RFPs, analyse offers, prepare comparison matrices and lead negotiations on price, delivery, warranties and financing solutions.
• Track production schedules, factory acceptance tests and quality documentation, and coordinate logistics for FOB/EXW shipments.
• Contribute to procurement performance reporting, KPI definition and cost‑optimisation initiatives to reduce LCOE.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Supply Chain or Business.
• Minimum 5 years of EPC procurement experience, preferably in solar PV, BESS or power‑equipment projects.
• Fluent English (mandatory).

Required skills

• Proficiency with PowerBI for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong command of AI tools for market and technology monitoring.
