Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting. The role supports business growth by ensuring compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS and providing strategic insights to management.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions, expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the applicable accounting standards.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare returns and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and expense analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by supplying required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA).
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
