Agency Manager - Madagascar

About the role

OBT, which has a strong presence across Africa and the Middle East, is looking for an Agency Manager for Madagascar. As the senior country leader, you will lead and develop OBT's business in the country in a sustainable, compliant and profitable way, holding full accountability for financial results, operations, people leadership, customer relationships and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the country P&L, including revenue growth, profitability, EBITDA and cash flow
• Develop and run country strategy, budgets and business plans aligned with group objectives
• Monitor pricing, margins, cost structures, working capital and local cash flow (AR/AP, DSO)
• Identify and mitigate financial, commercial and operational risks, and spot market opportunities
• Maintain relationships with key customers, partners, authorities and regulators, and act as escalation point for critical issues
• Ensure high standards of service quality, efficiency, compliance and risk management across functions
• Use group systems (ERP, Gatship, reporting and digital tools) and comply with local regulations and group governance
• Support HSQE implementation and efficiency in Shipping and Logistics
• Build, lead and develop the country team, set objectives, KPIs and performance reviews, and plan succession

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in business, economics, logistics or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience working in Africa
• Senior management experience managing a P&L in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding or related services
• Experience leading multi-functional teams in a complex environment
