Business Development Manager

About the role

LAIS Technologies is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to grow its solicitor network on the LAIS platform. You will be the primary point of contact for law firms, guiding them from first outreach through onboarding and long‑term engagement, while helping shape the company’s presence in the legal technology market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective solicitors and law firms that could benefit from the LAIS platform.
• Lead the end‑to‑end onboarding process, ensuring new users understand and adopt the platform.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships to improve retention and reduce churn.
• Spot opportunities to increase platform usage and develop new partnership or referral channels.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and track onboarding, engagement, and retention metrics.
• Represent LAIS at legal‑sector events, conferences, and networking meetings.
• Collect feedback from solicitors and convey insights to product and operations teams.
• Contribute to business‑development strategy and market analysis.

Required profile

• Commercially driven with a proven ability to develop new relationships.
• Excellent communicator comfortable speaking with solicitors, law firms, and senior professionals.
• Proactive, organised, and capable of managing own pipeline and priorities.
• Customer‑focused and motivated by building long‑term partnerships.
• Adaptable to a fast‑paced technology environment and interested in legal tech trends.
