Conservation Research Assistant

About the role

As a Conservation Research Assistant with SEED Madagascar you will support conservation research in the unique ecosystems of south‑east Madagascar. Based in Fort Dauphin you will manage volunteers, carry out field data collection and assist senior research staff to ensure smooth field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the management and support of volunteers on site.
• Assist in organising and executing the research schedule.
• Lead data‑collection efforts across conservation projects.
• Support senior research assistants and report on field activities.
• Contribute to the overall success of conservation projects.

Required profile

• Interest in conservation and environmental research.
• Ability to work in remote field conditions.
• Willingness to manage and support volunteers.
• Commitment to a 12‑month onsite assignment.
