Counselling Course Designer

About the role

Onja is seeking a Counselling Course Designer to create a brand‑new, evidence‑informed training programme that equips absolute beginners with the skills to deliver professional counselling services. The curriculum will focus on CBT‑based techniques and be delivered primarily online.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce engaging video lectures, interactive learning activities, and assessment materials for a complete counselling curriculum.
• Collaborate with licensed mental‑health professionals and subject‑matter experts to integrate real‑world experience into the course.
• Ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards, ethical guidelines, and evidence‑based practices.
• Develop a clear learning pathway that moves learners from novice to competent practitioner.
• Maintain quality and consistency while supporting Onja’s rapid scaling goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in instructional design or curriculum development, preferably for health‑related subjects.
• Strong understanding of counselling concepts, especially Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with mental‑health experts.
• Ability to create learner‑centred, online‑first educational experiences.
