DevOps / SRE Engineer – Cloud & Observability

About the role

As part of our strategy to strengthen technical capabilities and enhance the reliability of our mobile money and fintech platforms, we are recruiting a DevOps / SRE Engineer with strong expertise in cloud environments, CI/CD automation, and modern observability frameworks. This role is essential to ensure the resilience, performance, and security of our mission‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines for backend, middleware and API applications, standardising DevOps patterns and driving adoption across development teams.
• Build and operate full observability frameworks—including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards and alerting—using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Elastic and OpenTelemetry.
• Design, deploy and operate cloud‑native architectures (Kubernetes, OpenShift, IaaS/PaaS) and automate infrastructure with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible and Helm.
• Define and integrate automated testing strategies (unit, integration, performance, regression) into CI/CD pipelines using Selenium, Robot Framework, REST Assured, K6 and Postman/Newman.
• Provide Level 3 support for critical incidents, conduct root‑cause analyses, improve deployment processes and train technical teams on DevOps, SRE and observability practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 7 + years of experience in DevOps / SRE roles.
• Relevant cloud or SRE certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• CI/CD tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton.
• Observability tooling: Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Elastic Stack, OpenTelemetry, Tempo/Jaeger, Grafana.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, Helm.
• Secure CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• API‑driven architectures and microservices.
