Environmental Health Safety Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team in Antananarivo. This full-time, on-site position will lead the design, implementation and monitoring of health, safety and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations and fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain EHS policies and procedures aligned with legal requirements.
• Conduct regular workplace safety assessments and risk analyses.
• Deliver engaging safety training sessions for employees at all levels.
• Monitor compliance with occupational health standards and environmental regulations.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote continuous improvement of health and safety practices across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Safety Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in workplace safety assessments and EHS program management.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance requirements and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to influence a safety‑first mindset.
• Problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
