Group HR Adviser

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Group HR Adviser to join our Leeds team. Working closely with the Head of HR and HR Business Partners, you will help deliver people plans across the Group and its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line HR advice to managers and employees on policies, legislation and day‑to‑day matters.
• Support employee relations processes including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases.
• Assist with recruitment, advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews and conducting pre‑employment checks.
• Deliver onboarding, HR inductions and monitor probation periods.
• Maintain the HR system, produce reports and support payroll administration.
• Help manage sickness absence, family leave, flexible working requests and other lifecycle events.
• Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives and culture projects.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience delivering HR advisory and employee‑relations support.
• Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied workload across multiple business units.
• Excellent communication skills and a commercial, service‑focused mindset.
