Legal Data Analyst (Remote)

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will turn complex legal information—such as contracts, case records, and regulatory filings—into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management, and business strategy. Working remotely, you will collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to build data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Translate findings into dashboards, reports, and recommendations for legal strategy and compliance.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data for AI‑driven legal tools, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs.
• Support regulatory compliance by mapping emerging requirements to internal processes.
• Design interactive visualisations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve legal workflow efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Assist with data‑governance practices, including classification, retention, and quality standards for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying large datasets.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Ability to convert complex legal concepts into quantitative data structures.
• Experience in litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, IP, or privacy law.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
