Performance Engineering Intern – Telecom Power Systems

About the role

The Performance Engineering Intern will work with the Engineering Manager and the Performance Engineering team to analyse the performance of power equipment across Helios Towers sites in Madagascar. This position offers hands‑on experience with rectifiers, generators, batteries, solar systems and other critical power solutions in a telecom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support analysis of RMS data for various power assets such as rectifiers, generators, batteries and solar systems.
• Identify equipment or sites that do not meet defined performance standards and report gaps.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and action trackers for the Engineering Manager.
• Assist in developing technical recommendations for field and O&M teams regarding configuration, sizing and optimal use of equipment.
• Follow up warranty claims, review technical documents and test new products.
• Participate, under supervision, in technical audits and checks related to SHEQ requirements.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Technical Sciences or a related field.
• Understanding of telecommunications towers, their components and related technologies.
• Strong interest in performance engineering, energy efficiency, field operations and renewable energy.
• Good command of French and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
