About the role

The internship supports the Resilience Section of the WFP Programme Unit in Antananarivo, contributing to the design, coordination and monitoring of interventions that strengthen food security and climate resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in logistical and operational preparation for meetings, workshops and missions.
• Collect and analyse data on disaster risk, humanitarian and development issues, and climate impacts.
• Draft reports, synthesis notes and recommendations to improve intervention speed and effectiveness.
• Support coordination with local authorities, NGOs and international partners.
• Contribute to project development and financial proposals.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor+4/+5 programme in renewable energy, agronomy, rural development, environment or related field, or recent graduate (within six months).
• Strong analytical, synthesis and writing abilities.
• Good organization, autonomy and teamwork spirit.
• Interest in humanitarian, climate and resilience topics.
• Malagasy nationality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluent in Malagasy and French; English is a plus.
