Technical Director – MCGL Project

About the role

Jhpiego is seeking a Technical Director to lead the Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) project in Madagascar. The role provides strategic and technical oversight for a U.S. Government‑funded maternal, child, newborn health, nutrition, and immunization initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and technical oversight across all project areas.
• Develop and monitor the project strategic plan, work plan, and performance monitoring framework in collaboration with USG, local government, and partners.
• Ensure compliance with award requirements, donor reporting, and communication protocols.
• Design and update evidence‑based training materials, standards, job aids, and curricula.
• Mentor sub‑partners, build capacity, and strengthen referral systems.
• Oversee technical quality of sub‑partner activities and represent MCGL in national technical advisory groups.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in maternal, child, newborn health, nutrition, and immunization programs.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and manage large, donor‑funded projects.
• Experience collaborating with government agencies, international donors, and implementing partners.
• Strong capacity‑building and mentorship skills.
