Therapy/Counselling Course Designer

About the role

Onja is seeking a Therapy/Counselling Course Designer to create a brand‑new, online‑first training programme that turns absolute beginners into employable therapists and counsellors. The curriculum will focus on evidence‑based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and must be scalable for a large, remote learner base. The role involves building the curriculum from the ground up and ensuring the programme aligns with Onja’s mission to provide life‑changing work through a sustainable social‑enterprise model.

Key responsibilities

• Create engaging video lectures, learning activities and course materials that form a complete therapy and counselling curriculum for novices.
• Design the programme to enable learners to deliver psychotherapy services using CBT, DBT or related methods.
• Structure the content for delivery at scale through an online‑first model.
• Ensure the curriculum reflects professional standards for psychotherapy practice.

Required profile

• Professional knowledge of psychotherapy techniques such as CBT or DBT.
• Experience in developing educational content for beginners.
