Finance & Administrative Manager – Toliara

About the role

Conservation International is seeking a Finance & Administrative Manager to lead the administrative and financial functions of its satellite office in Toliara, Madagascar. The role reports administratively to the Office Director and technically to the Finance Director, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor the periodic acquisition plan, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
• Supervise the Administrative Assistant and oversee day‑to‑day office functioning.
• Maintain the Fixed Assets register, reconcile inventory with accounting records, and coordinate the annual physical inventory.
• Process monthly financial transactions in Business World, prepare reclassifications, and ensure compliance with CI policies and donor requirements.
• Coordinate month‑end close, produce reconciliations, and monitor balance‑sheet accounts.
• Manage cash flow, oversee timely collection and deposits, monitor bank movements, and supervise payment processes.
• Produce the annual financial report for the Malagasy administration and act as the primary liaison for cost‑center managers.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
• Proven experience in managing finance and administrative functions, preferably in an NGO or international organization.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead staff and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent multitasking, prioritisation, and deadline‑driven work habits in a fast‑paced environment.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail in financial reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Business World accounting software.
