Product Engineer – AI Operating System for Short‑Term Rentals

About the role

Base360.ai is building an AI operating system for short‑term rental operators. As a Product Engineer you will turn real customer problems into reliable, intuitive software that automates reservations, guest communication, pricing, payments and more.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with property managers and internal teams to uncover workflow friction and define high‑impact problems.
• Design, develop, test and ship full‑stack features—from frontend UI to backend services, integrations and automation engines.
• Collaborate with designers to create intuitive interfaces that simplify complex rental operations.
• Build event‑driven automation workflows that eliminate repetitive tasks such as cleaning scheduling and guest check‑in messaging.
• Develop AI‑powered capabilities using LLMs and AI agents for guest communication, maintenance triage and pricing support.
• Implement and maintain robust APIs and integrations with platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio and OpenAI.
• Monitor product performance, gather user feedback and iterate to improve adoption, reliability and scalability.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and shipping production software across frontend and backend.
• Comfortable working with React, TypeScript, Python and FastAPI (or similar frameworks).
• Deep understanding of APIs, databases, integrations and cloud architecture.
• Product‑mindset with curiosity about why users need a feature and ability to turn ambiguous problems into working solutions.
• Confidence collaborating directly with customers, designers and founders.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and own outcomes.
