Hiring Manager

About the role

Onja trains underprivileged youth into software developers through a two-and-a-half-year programme, and operates as an integrated organisation covering education, hiring and partnerships. As Hiring Manager you will own end-to-end hiring across key functions, build talent pipelines, strengthen hiring processes and make decisions that shape the organisation's future. The role is based in Toamasina, Madagascar.

Key responsibilities

• Lead talent operations and strategy, positioning Onja for mission-aligned, high-caliber candidates
• Partner with department managers to define success criteria and design assessment processes
• Own end-to-end hiring for several concurrent hiring rounds across departments
• Track and analyse hiring metrics to find bottlenecks and recommend improvements to sourcing and interviews
• Build scalable hiring systems and test new sourcing strategies

Required profile

• Commitment of twelve months, with potential to renew or extend
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Analytical thinking and ability to use data to evaluate effectiveness
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
• Strong candidate judgement, assessment and interviewing skills
