IBM i Developer – Hybrid Working

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established financial services organisation that is investing in the evolution of its core technology platforms. As an IBM i Developer you will join a collaborative technology team responsible for business‑critical applications and modernisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and support IBM i applications.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
• Design, code, test and implement software changes.
• Support business‑critical systems and resolve production issues when required.
• Contribute to platform improvements and modernisation programmes.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working.
• Operate within a collaborative Kanban‑based delivery environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience on the IBM i platform, comfortable developing in RPG.
• Background in IBM i / AS400 / iSeries environments.
• Experience with application support, enhancement and systems integration.
• Familiarity with financial services or other regulated sectors.
• Problem‑solver who takes ownership and contributes ideas for improvement.
