ICT Program Director – 5G, 4G Core & Cloud

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a senior ICT Program Director to lead the delivery of 5G and 4G Core and Cloud solutions across multiple African markets. You will manage complex, multi‑vendor projects from initial scoping through to successful implementation, ensuring high quality and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end 5G and 4G Core and Cloud engagements for Ericsson customers.
• Lead local and global teams, enforce strong governance, and maintain project controls.
• Identify milestones, risks, and obstacles; develop and implement mitigation plans.
• Manage change impacts on scope, budget, timeline, and quality with stakeholder agreement.
• Foster internal and external relationships and share best‑practice knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of program management experience, including Core and Cloud delivery.
• Proven ability to support sales teams and drive new business opportunities.
• Strong financial acumen and business case development experience.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is preferred.

• Packet Core technologies (Dual Mode Core, PCC/PCG, MME, EPG, SAPC, UDM, IMS VoLTE, IoT).
