Senior NOC Engineer

About the role

The Senior NOC Engineer leads shift operations between L1 and the Hub Team Lead, acting as the primary shift lead for Alpha and Bravo rotations and providing on‑call support for Charlie shifts. The role drives deep L2 incident investigations, proactive observability, and mentors NOC operators.

Key responsibilities

• Own shift quality, manage handovers, oversee incident communications and ensure on‑call readiness for Charlie shifts, responding within 15 minutes to P1/P2 incidents.
• Conduct deep log analysis in Kibana, evaluate Grafana trends, isolate root causes and manage supplier escalations without reflexive pass‑through.
• Monitor Prometheus feeds and Grafana dashboards, refine alert thresholds to reduce noise and translate technical metrics into business‑impact language.
• Coach NOC operators on‑shift, provide structured feedback, support onboarding and flag performance concerns to the Hub Team Lead.

Required profile

• Master’s or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Networks & Telecommunications, Information Systems or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in NOC operations, L2 support or DevOps in a high‑availability environment, with proven L2 incident resolution and post‑incident review ownership.
• Shift‑lead experience, preferably in fintech or mobile‑money operations.
