Analyst

About the role

Onja trains underprivileged youth into software developers through a two-and-a-half-year programme, then places them in its own outsourcing enterprise. Its analysts study parts of the organisation such as student recruitment, English and software courses, client attraction or hiring, using data from the first cohort of developers. The role is close to the Analytics Lead, supported in data processing or collection if needed, and is broad enough to include building or leading work on systems and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse one or more parts of the organisation and report on findings
• Understand the process and the data, make key assumptions and apply statistical models to find strengths and areas for improvement
• Document work simply so others can follow it
• Help build or lead work on systems and tools, and contribute to continuous experimentation and data collection

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a related field
• Ability to break down complex problems into useful, meaningful components
• Strong English communication skills
• Reference checks are part of the evaluation process

• Experience with Python, or at least a strong desire to learn it
