Business Development Officer (HR & Payroll Solutions)

About the role

Onja is launching a new software initiative focused on HR and payroll solutions for the Malagasy market. We are seeking a Business Development Officer to test market demand, build the first client base, and provide valuable feedback on product fit.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research target businesses across Madagascar.
• Conduct outbound cold calls in French to prospective clients.
• Engage decision‑makers via LinkedIn and schedule discovery calls.
• Present the HR and payroll solution, understand prospect needs, and record outreach activity.
• Track pipeline progress and report against weekly and monthly targets.
• Collaborate with the internal team to relay market insights and refine the sales approach.

Required profile

• Fluent in spoken and written French.
• Strong communicator who is confident, clear, and personable.
• Highly motivated, self‑disciplined, and organized.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, early‑stage environment.
