About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant to support our finance department in handling French accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, assisting with month‑end closing activities, and managing VAT obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute pre‑accounting activities, including data collection and initial journal entries.
• Review, reconcile and validate account balances on a regular basis.
• Prepare, calculate and file French VAT declarations in compliance with local regulations.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
• Collaborate with senior accountants and other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.

Required profile

• Academic qualification: Bac+3 to Bac+5 in Accounting, Finance or Management.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in French accounting environments.
• Fluent French language skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail, a dynamic attitude and perseverance in meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Pennylane accounting software.
• Proficiency with ISACOMPTA accounting software.
