Flavorist – Vanilla Innovation Hub

About the role

IFF is seeking a dedicated Flavorist to lead flavor creation at its Vanilla Innovation Hub in Madagascar. You will explore vanilla species, hybrids, and sustainable sourcing while developing new flavor solutions for a global portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the end‑to‑end creation of vanilla‑based flavors using locally sourced and existing ingredient panels.
• Collaborate daily with regional C&D and Sales teams to align on project briefs and market needs.
• Contribute to the design and execution of food test protocols and ensure compliance with international standards.
• Evaluate prototypes, ingredients, and emerging technologies to refine flavor concepts.
• Support sustainable vanilla exploration and climate‑change anticipation initiatives.

Required profile

• Completed a recognized Flavorist course with a diploma in food science, chemistry, or a related field.
• Creative and innovative mindset with a strong interest in vanilla biology and flavor chemistry.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote/on‑site environment while maintaining strong communication with global teams.
