Institute Director

About the role

The Institute Director provides Christ‑centered leadership for Seminary and Institute programs, guiding youth and young adults in their spiritual growth and academic development. This people‑manager position oversees program administration, curriculum delivery, and partnership building with church and educational stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with area/region directors, stake priesthood leaders, and local school administrators to align program goals.
• Prepare and manage the annual operating budget, monitor financial performance, and protect church assets.
• Lead institute teachers to increase enrollment, improve learning experiences, and support students with disabilities.
• Analyze enrollment data, set performance targets, and develop plans to boost attendance, completion, and transition rates.
• Conduct quarterly professional‑development sessions, monthly check‑ins, and regular performance observations for faculty and staff.
• Oversee in‑service training focused on effective teaching and learning practices.
• Provide counseling based on student surveys and observations, helping teachers set improvement goals.
• Maintain a Christ‑like culture of unity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Teach Seminary and Institute classes as assigned and pursue personal professional development.

Required profile

• Strong background in administration, learning, teaching, and training.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff and volunteers.
• Commitment to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the restored gospel.
• Experience working with youth and young adult populations.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage budgets.
