About the role

Join Sekoly Kintana, a community‑based school in Tolanaro, Madagascar, as a Montessori Guide or Support Staff member. You will help create a child‑centered learning environment that blends Montessori and Reggio Emilia principles with multilingual, STEAM, and athletic activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Montessori‑inspired classrooms and learning materials.
• Guide children through language, STEAM, and creative projects while observing and documenting progress.
• Adapt activities to meet diverse developmental needs and promote independence.
• Support classroom routines, outdoor play, and basic athletic sessions.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and the wider school community.
• Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school events.

Required profile

• Experience or training in Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia pedagogy.
• Comfort working in a multilingual setting (Malagasy, French, English).
• Commitment to inclusivity, emotional intelligence, and community engagement.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude in a developing, research‑informed school.

Required skills

• Classroom management and learner observation.
• Documentation of children’s progress.
• Support for STEAM‑related activities and basic movement‑based learning.
