Project Officer – Displacement Management

About the role

The Project Officer (Displacement Management) will support the RE2CLID project in Madagascar, contributing to the resilience and self‑reliance of displacement‑affected communities. Working under the Chief of Mission and the RE2CLID Project Coordinator, the officer will help implement, monitor and report on displacement‑management and durable‑solutions activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation, monitoring and reporting of displacement‑management and durable‑solutions actions under the RE2CLID project.
• Coordinate with the RE2CLID Senior Administrative and Integration Officer, CCCM Global, regional and headquarters specialists, and local stakeholders.
• Facilitate community participation, improve living conditions and promote linkages to durable solutions in line with global standards.
• Liaise with governmental authorities, donors, UN agencies, NGOs and local communities in a multicultural environment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, Development, Business, Public Administration or related field, or a university degree with at least four years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in programme coordination, emergency response, CCCM, disaster or climate‑vulnerable contexts, and working in high‑risk environments.
• Experience in gender‑based violence issues, financial and administrative management, and stakeholder liaison.
• Fluency in English and French (oral and written); additional UN language is an advantage.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of CCCM standards and the Mass Evacuation in Disasters (MED) guide.
• Familiarity with the Sendai Framework, Global Compact on Migration and UN SG Action Agenda on Internal Displacement.
• Information management, data analysis, project management and donor reporting.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities and good computer literacy.
