About the role

Palladium is looking for a mid-level Research and Policy Analysis Consultant for a short-term technical assistance assignment in Madagascar. The work focuses on demographic transition and its implications for development, policy and investment, bringing together demographic and socio-economic evidence to inform decision-making and produce practical, audience-focused analytical products. The consultant must be locally based and show a strong understanding of Madagascar's operating environment, institutions and development context.

Key responsibilities

Conduct literature reviews, gather evidence and compile data
Support quantitative and qualitative analysis
Prepare evidence summaries, presentations, tables, graphics and briefing materials
Contribute to drafting and revising technical and policy products
Support documentation of consultations, findings and lessons learned
