Vice President, Credit & Risk Management

About the role

The Vice President of Credit & Risk Management will shape Izili’s credit strategy, risk framework, and recovery processes across all operating markets. Reporting to the Group Executive Committee, you will ensure sustainable growth through data‑driven decision‑making and disciplined portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of group‑wide credit and risk policies, aligning them with financial inclusion goals and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Business Intelligence and Data teams to build and refine credit scoring, segmentation, and behavioral risk models using PAYGO and alternative data sources.
• Develop real‑time portfolio monitoring dashboards and early‑warning systems to track delinquency, PAR, write‑offs, and recovery trends.
• Design and execute data‑driven collections strategies, including automated workflows, digital reminders, and asset recovery processes.
• Oversee governance, compliance, and investor‑relations activities related to consumer protection and risk reporting.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in credit risk, portfolio management, or financial services.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of building predictive models and translating insights into strategic actions.
• Deep understanding of consumer and asset‑based lending, regulatory environments, and risk‑adjusted growth.
• Excellent communication skills to influence executive committees and external stakeholders.
