WASH Officer (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The WASH Officer will provide technical and administrative support for UNICEF's water, sanitation and hygiene programmes in Madagascar. The role involves research, analysis and reporting to inform programme design and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyse regional and national political, WASH, health and socio‑economic trends.
• Collect, verify and synthesize data to support programme development and design.
• Prepare technical reports and inputs for programme documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in developing WASH‑related outcomes, outputs and strategies based on sector needs and priorities.
• Provide technical and administrative support throughout all stages of the programming cycle, including preparation of materials and compliance with UNICEF processes.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in WASH, public health, international development or a related field.
• Experience in programme development, data analysis and reporting in a humanitarian or development context.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to produce clear technical documents.
• Familiarity with UNICEF policies, procedures and management systems.
