ROV Pilot

About the role

The ROV Pilot will operate and monitor remotely operated vehicles during subsea missions, ensuring safe and efficient underwater inspection and intervention. Based in Antananarivo, the position is full‑time and on‑site, supporting both coastal and offshore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Navigate the ROV and control cameras, lights, and sensors during deployments.
• Assist with the launch, recovery, and positioning of the vehicle.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on ROV equipment.
• Document mission data, capture video and imagery, and produce post‑mission reports.
• Collaborate with subsea engineers, divers, and field teams to plan and execute operations.
• Follow all safety, health, and environmental procedures, including BOSIET compliance.

Required profile

• Practical experience in subsea operations or marine fieldwork, preferably with diving exposure.
• Technical background in marine engineering, electronics, robotics, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work in challenging offshore or coastal environments and to travel as needed.
• Strong problem‑solving aptitude and situational awareness under pressure.
