Car Rental Agent

About the role

Blueberry Travel Madagascar is looking for a full-time, on-site Car Rental Agent based in Antananarivo. The agent supports customers with vehicle rentals and related services, from welcoming them to handing over the car.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, understand their transportation needs and present suitable car rental options
• Explain rental terms, pricing and insurance coverage clearly
• Prepare and process rental agreements, check vehicle availability and coordinate with the fleet team
• Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled and ready for pickup
• Manage reservations and modifications using computer-based systems, handle payments and issue receipts accurately
• Resolve customer inquiries and concerns, promote add-on services where appropriate and maintain high customer satisfaction
• Follow company policies and safety procedures

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in tourism, hospitality or business are an advantage
• Experience in the travel, hospitality or transportation sector is beneficial
• Ability to work on-site in Antananarivo, manage multiple tasks and stay calm in high-volume customer environments
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and a professional, client-focused attitude

Required skills

• Car rental and basic travel operations skills, including handling reservations and rental agreements
• Excellent spoken and written communication in relevant local and/or international languages
• Customer service and problem-solving skills
• Computer literacy, including reservation software, email and standard office applications
