Growth Manager - Client Acquisition

About the role

Onja trains underprivileged youth into software developers and runs an outsourcing enterprise. The Growth Manager acquires new clients for this enterprise, builds a scalable outbound engine that creates roles for current and future cohorts, and works closely with the Enterprise Manager to match outreach with delivery capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new clients and secure roles for current and future cohorts of developers
• Design and run multi-channel outbound campaigns (LinkedIn, email, cold calling) to generate a steady pipeline of qualified leads
• Test, measure and refine outbound experiments to build a repeatable client acquisition engine
• Manage and grow the client acquisition team, starting with one person
• Mentor developers on professionalism, communication and interview preparation
• Track and report pipeline metrics, conversion rates and placement outcomes
• Represent Onja externally and build networks that support long-term client acquisition

Required profile

• Proven track record of independently generating new business through outbound channels such as cold email, cold calls or LinkedIn outreach
• Strong written and spoken English, able to represent Onja to enterprise clients and negotiate placements
• Resilience and self-direction, comfortable building a sales function with ambiguity
• Willingness to relocate to Toamasina, Madagascar for at least 12 months
