Child Protection Specialist – Fixed Term (Antananarivo)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Child Protection Specialist to lead and support programmes that address violence against children in Madagascar. The role focuses on strengthening response services, case management systems, and delivering sustainable results that uphold children’s rights and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of child protection programmes addressing all forms of violence.
• Provide technical guidance and management support throughout the programming cycle.
• Strengthen national response services and case management systems for child protection.
• Collaborate with national and international partners to ensure coordinated efforts.
• Prepare reports, documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education degree in child protection, social work, law, public health or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing child protection programmes in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of child rights frameworks and protection standards.
• Excellent communication, coordination and reporting skills.
