Communications Manager

About the role

Onja trains underprivileged youth into software developers through a two-and-a-half-year programme, and is expanding its Communications team to reach wider audiences and attract partners. The Communications Manager leads a team of two or more communications professionals and works from Toamasina, Madagascar.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of two or more communications professionals
• Develop, schedule and manage social media content and community engagement on LinkedIn
• Support the development and distribution of database emails
• Collaborate with partners on marketing materials and create content for international audiences
• Manage the marketing database and develop audience growth strategies
• Create a digital marketing and measurement strategy
• Co-write and design the Annual Report

Required profile

• Twelve-month commitment, with potential to renew or extend
• Excellent English communication skills and strong writing ability
• Relevant communications, marketing or PR experience preferred
• Interest in or experience with social enterprise is highly beneficial
